There is no communication between auto x-ray and the ALDL on a 96 Z. The Auto x-ray is fine is it was used on other cars without issues. Also checked all the fuses at the side of the dashboard and they all seem fine. How can I verify that the ALDL could communicate properly.

 

You could always check the leads from the DLC to their terminating points wiht a meter.

 

Thanks shoebox, I also jumpered the #5 & 6 connectors on the DLC and put the key on, the fans didn't start as is explained in your page. from where does the power come to and to what connector.

 

I don't have a 1997 book (Helms), but for some reason thought you did.
