AKM obd1 cable help
Re: AKM obd1 cable help
Email me.
andrew@akmcables.com
I don't get around here very much any more.
In the email, please answer these questions:
1) What laptop are you using?
2) Are you using a USB-RS232 adapter? If so, which one?
3) Have you downloaded http://www.akmcables.com/serial.doc and tried the Hyperterminal test, both with and without the little black box?
4) You can run ALDLTest also, but don't run the one from the TTS web site. http://www.akmcables.com/aldltest.zip is more reliable (older version).
5) Are you able to disable infrared devices on your laptop (sometimes done in the BIOS, sometimes done via a configuration program a la older IBM thinkpads)?
6) What software have you tried?
Just email me, we can work through it.
