Do you have to have a high speed USB device to use the interface?

 

no, goes into the serial port.

 

If you havn't bought the cable yet and want USB check out moates.net. Thats what I have and it works great.

 

I have a newer laptop without any serial ports. So I got a moates USB cable, I have only used it with freescan but it worked great and was well made. Cheaper than a serial cable and serial adapter.

Andrew is offering the USB cables now. I just got a new one on his trade up program. Works like a charm. Only thing that kinda scares me is there is no way to lock the USB into place so you could technically pull it out and then your PCM is F'ed.
