Adding 30lb injectors
Re: Adding 30lb injectors
You need to change your injector constant and WOT PE vs. RPM table.
I cannot help with the constant because those injectors are pretty shady. I called Venom once to find out what they were rated at and they said "anywhere from 25 to 50 psi". If you ask them what the flow rates are, they like to use percentages. "10% over stock.... 20% over stock, etc".
Not very professional IMO.
I ended up using a constant of 30 and it seemed to work ok.
For the WOT PE table, you will need to go to the dyno again after you change the injector constant.

Re: Adding 30lb injectors
Not knowing what fuel pressure that flow rate is rated at, is a problem, but easily taken care of.
Do alot of part throotle data logging, especially the fuel cells and the fuel correction term. If your car runs between 122 and 134 (as an example) for BLMs, then after changing the injector and at first using 30#/hr as the injector constant, data log alot again. Change the fuel injector constant so that the after BLMs equal the before BLMs.
Done deal.
