Accel Enrichment

Need some advice on accel enrich. I'm using Tunercat to tune my '93 Z28. I have a situation where it is going VERY rich immediately when you go WOT and then it quickly recovers and of course does what the PE tells it to.

So, of the many tables for Accel Enrich like "AE vs. differential TPS" , AE vs. Coolant", "AE Delta MAP PW Multiplier vs. Delta MAP" etc. An entire list is found on the tunercat.com if you click on the Info button for $DA3.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has a definition for each of these and/or can point me in the right direction as to what I can look for on a scan to determine where I need to make changes. Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?

Thanks!

Re: Accel Enrichment

how do you know it is going rich upon acceleration? are you using a wide band to tune? that is a question that would need to be answered.. could you possibly need to tweak the timing some during tip in? just a few questions!

Re: Accel Enrichment

Yep, using a wide band to tune. ONLY good way to do it. Years ago I used to use the reading from the stock narrow band sensor (like everyone seemed to be doing at the time) and needless to say it was WAY off.

Not sure about the timing, seems to me it would be related more to the accel enrich settings. I'm just not understanding all of the different tables and don't want to just start changing things without understanding it better.

Re: Accel Enrichment

Back down both AE vs TPS and AE vs MAP by about 20% and give her a rip. Keep going down till the rich bog goes away. You won't hurt anything. Sometimes it may take a good bit of change in the tables to see the affect on the WB. Is the rich bog temperature sensitive as well?
