Abs
Abs
Where is the ABS module on a 95 3800 auto???? I found out the hard way today my ABS doesn't work. (Stated slidin on ice so corrected the sterring and hit the brakes and the just locked up and i knicked a mailbox
Woops)
Didn't damage anything but the pole on the mailbox and a little dent in my front bumper that was already scraped up when I got it.

What makes you think it wasn't working, just cause you were sliding? If it wasn't working the PCM would have diagnostic codes. Have you tried scanning it? Did the "low trac" light come on while you were braking?
Does the "low trac" light come on during the pre-start diagnostics?
The EBCM is located above the driver left foot. It's a silver metal box.
You could still have a brake issue like a sticking piston even though the ABS is functioning.

I think your system is fine. It may be your driving needs a little help. If the system were not functioning, the ABS OFF light would be on and the low trac light would not come on.
If your looking for a sticking brake, just jack up a wheel and rotate it. Hit the brakes and then let off and try to rotate the wheel again.
Just for laughs go to an area where there is loose gravel or sand and try braking with 2 wheels in the loose material to see what happens. Then pull the 5 amp fuse #1 UH and try the same thing in the loose material again.
