Well, when I pull the shifter back into 2nd and floor it, then up shift it into 3rd (D), it does not up shift, just hits the rev limiter and bounces off it.

If it is left in OD, then it shifts just fine at WOT ...

Any thoughts??

I don't know why yours is doing that exactly other then the A4 should never be manually shifted. Ask around, thats the quickest way to ruin them.
