95 lt1 car want to switch to crate motor with standalone efi

Hey guys,

I have a 95 trash can with a 355" lt1, running stock computer, but otherwise most of the car is heavily modded.

Anyhow I have a new home for this lt1/t56 setup so I wanted to pull it and run a 440lsx crate motor with a standalone computer and hardness.

My question is to keep most of my car looking and working stock on the interior, what will I have to do in respect to wiring to make it all work? Can I still pull the stock PCM and its hardness, or, will some if it have to stay in.

I have done lt1 to ls1 searching, but it seems guys are putting oem ls1 computers, harnesses and motors in place. This car is modified (all tubular chassis and suspension, abs delete, ford 9", etc). Interior looks stock and everything works right down to the A/C. I would like to keep that still as much as possible. It would be nice to save as much of the lt1 harness as possible but its not necessary.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

Sounds like fun.

Just a thought: maybe you should sell your car, buy this, and just enjoy?
