94 Hypertech Programmer use in a 95

I have a HPP from my 94 car laying around here. My 95 has different gears in it and I just want to fix it so that my speedo reads correctly. There aren't really any LT1 tuners local to me.

The connector is different, but I know that I could use it with some jumper wires. Does anyone have the pin readouts for these 2 years?

So if I am reading this right it is pin M to pin 9, and pin A to pins 4 and 5. Correct?

Any reason this isn't working?

What's it doing? Is it just not able to connect?

Does the Hypertech pull its power from the diagnostic connector? I would think it would have to be self-powered, because I don't believe the OBD1 diagnostic connector supplies power like the OBD2 port does.

I don't ever remember having to use a seperate power cable when I used it on my 94. I plugged it in and turned on the key, and it does nothing at all like it has no power.

LOL, and to think I was going to help you with allowing you to use my 95 cable.

I now use it to program with Tunercat (BTW, that is the way to go).

Oh I know thats the way to go. I just don't have a laptop anymore. Sold it when I wrecked the 94. I still have the cables though lol.

Is Tunercat free? I've only used LT1 Edit in the past.
