Will a 295/60/15 fit under a 1969 rear qtr assy
Trying to buy tires for the rear of my car. I don't think a 295 will fit without some mods that I do not wish to do . Have any of you tried this or know for a fact what will fit . I would like to go to 16s but don't have a clue what would work . If you have any ideals let me know Thanks !

That is correct, from what I have heard. A 295 tire does not fit without moving the rear frame rail. I have heard of people running a 275 but the rim backspacing is critical. I've heard that it should be carefully measured for the correct rim, because it will be a tight fit !!
i have p275/60R-15's in the rear on my 69 camaro, and fit they do, but so barely. With the centerline wheels i have the tires have a bit of breathing room from the body. I bought it with these on, and from looking at the shocks, the tires do rub on them, but barely. If you want to leave your camaro mostly stock I would go with slightly smaller tires.
