Why is one headlight dim and the other bright?

On my 67 camaro. The passenger side taillight is dim, I changed the headlight out, and it is still dim. The connection is fine. I mean it is real dim. Why is one headlight fine, and the other one dim? Bad ground maybe?

Same thing happened on mine. I just jiggled the wires and it was good to go. If that don't help, check the switch. Sometimes that old thing burns out and has to be replaced.

Bad connection or bad ground. Check the wires.

Well, I'll repeat it for the sake of repeating it, but it's 9 times out of 10 gonns be a bad ground.

i dunnno how well you maintain the car, but there might also be some corrosion on the connector causing increased resistance.

I've had the same problem with my '73 CST.Loose pins inside the headlight wire connector was the problem.I used a small file to clean off the pins and gently spread them open for better contact. Then used dielectric grease to help keep out moisture. Also keep in mind you're dealing with a wiring harness almost 40 years old.You might consider using one of the headlight adaptor harness's availible from many places(Summit and JEGS sells them). What they do is take the load off you headlight switch, except to activate the supplied relays -headlights pick up power directly off the batery.Usually with a bad headlight switch both lights will be dim or not work at all.
