whats kinda 4spd manual trans
Re: whats kinda 4spd manual trans
In 1980, I think the "Muncie" tranny was actually the Saginaw (built by Muncie, but not an M20, M21, or M22). There's nothing real in depth on www.nastyz28.com about the trannies in '80. I know that out of 2 '80/'81 Z28's that I scrapped, 1 had a Saginaw, the other was a Borg Warner T-10 (which is now broken on the garage floor, after our '73 thrashed the $h!t out of it!!!
).
).
Re: whats kinda 4spd manual trans
The Borg Warner Super T-10 is not rare. It was standard on all late 2nd gen Z28s- '77-'81. Ratios varied, but for 1980, with a 350, it should be a 2.64:1 1st gear. For 1981, only 305s could get the 4-speed (except Canada, which still had the 350-4sp), and it was a 3.42:1 1st gear.
