What carb to run?

What carb do you guys recommend for a mild 350 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold?

600 cfm with vacuum secondaries.

Pick your poison.. Edelbrock, Holley or Quadrajet.

Or the Accell DFI standalone would work good also...

Might as well whip an Edelbrock carb on it to keep it all standardized.

the higher plenum of the performer rpm will require a 650 or better go with a 750 and have the best of both worlds and you won't have to upgrade later

A 750 will give a mild 350 a nice bog unless you get a spreadbore.
I guess it all depends on what is "mild" to you.

I've ran an Edelbrock, and have known and talked to others who run them and have yet to meet anyone who likes them and would buy them again. Except for the few on here. They do have that new EVS IIRC that may be better. Don't get me wrong, they work, but they lack something in the performance area.

Look at the Jet Quadrajets. You can get a pretty mild one. With the small primaries you'll get decent milage and with the large secondaries you'll have good performance.

I think I am going to try the Edelbrock, I would like to try the Edelbrock nitrous system also and it would all match.

If you want a true performance carb DO NOT get an Edelbrock. If you're thinking of spraying, then I'm guessing you do.

Hey talos, I just picked up another 67 Camaro with the 210hp 327 for my kid. I was thinking of the Street Avenger with an Edelbrock Performer intake. We'll also be adding headers but other than that leaving the engine stock.

What do you think?

Some people really seem to hate Edelbrock.

I just picked up an Edelbrock Performer EPS and 600 cfm carb for my car. Getting them put on this weekend.....I hope.

Because they don't perform well. lol

Good luck, I hope the EPS works out for ya. Maybe the new design helps.

Jg, what size of carb are you thinking? With only 210 HP, stay small.

if u don't need to worry about things like EGRs and such, i would say pick up a Performer RPM, and the Street avenger... and some nice headers...

now headers are headers, 1 5/8" primary and 3" collectors would be pretty standard for street headers... mine are hooker.

the Street avenger if u didn't know is a 670cfm carb with an electric choke and vac secondary.
