Im attempting to get the waterpump pulley and the crankshaft pulley alligned, it has been alligned before, but what the previous owner did to align them was put about 40 washers instead of the proper shims that are made for waterpumps. In putting washers instead of shims the pulley was not balanced (fan and pulley wobbled). A long waterpump would be way too long and a short waterpump is about 3/8" too short. All I need is to be directed to a parts store or even an auto shop where I can purchase these shims. Autozone, Pepboys do not carry and I am not in the position to deal with online shipping. (under 18, cant have credit card and my parents suck.)

 

I was just about to give you an address for these shims until I saw what you think about your parents. Sad you have say things like that.

 

what the hell kind of setup is on there is both the long and short pumps won't work?

Its a crate engine the previous owner put in. He screwed around with everything. I am in the process of deoakiefying the wiring and a few things in the engine compartment. He spaced the waterpump with WASHERS!!! About 40 of them. In doing so the pulley/fan were not balanced and now im getting a new hood, radiator and fan. (waterpump plate/pulley.fan flew off hitting hood and 4 lines of the radiator and tweeking the fan.) I need assistance in finding a parts store that sell pulley shims. I am not able to shop online. Im under 18 and my parents wont let me use there credit card online.
