valve covers

I recently sprung a leak on one of my valve covers and am in the process of replacing both, and when i got them off, the old gaskets were chared and baked to the valve covers, is their a process in which i should go through in removing the old gaskets from the valve covers? Or should i possibly look into new valve covers?

Re: valve covers

You can buy gasket remover at autoparts stores. It usually comes in a spray can, give that a shot, unless you want a nice shiny set of chromed valve covers

Re: valve covers

Gasket remover and a butter knife... should take it off.
