Tachometer location

I have a 68 camaro and was wondering where to place a Tachometer. I don't want to purchase the gage cluster because I like the stock look for the speedo and gas gage.
Pictures could help.

Thanks,

Steering column with a hose clamp is the accepted standard.

Re: Tachometer location

Thanks,
I was hoping to avoid that because it seems to be in the way of the classic look of the instrument cluster. I was thinking about building something on the center console or below the radio.

Actually the classic look is mounted on the steering column. That's how we did it back in the 70's. And it still looks "classic" today....

Couldn't get any more "classic" looking IMO.

Cool Re: Tachometer location

Thanks for the photo.
I thought adding something like that would take away from the original look. But you are right if that is way it was done back in the day the then it does look "real", classic and authentic.

Thanks,

What good is having a tach if it is way down there where you can't see it? Just my $0.02.
