What would be the best kit to buy to build a 383 stroker? I have a 81 z28 with the 350. Thanks for the help?

You will probably get a better response to this on Classic Tech or maybe even 3rd Gen Tech. There are a number of engine shops that will sell you rotating assemblies, short blocks, long blocks, etc. You will need to define what your plans are.... all motor, nitrous, blower, street, strip, etc.

In general, basic questions regarding "strokers" are best answered on forums dedicated to specific generations.

Moving to Classic Tech....

Call this guy or emial him. His name is Beau. Tell him James with the yellow 69 camaro told you to go through him. He gives really good deals and will help you find a good kit.

stroker

are you going to use your block, rods or any other stuff off your 350?all you really need to buy is a 400 crank and pistions.
try to get a 400 crank from a salvage yard.i bet you could get one for under $50.get it cut for 350 mains for about $75 and throw in a set of $200 hypereutectic pistons from keith black and youve got a strong street/strip motor.strokers make power at a lower rpm than stock stroke motors ,so they can achieve a higher h.p. potential without having to buy costley forged engine components, because you dont have to spin them as high.are you going with stock heads?what rear end gear are you running?auto or 4 speed?cam selection is critical on these motors,so let me know what you have and ill give you my recomindation

you could always go for a GM crate motor. Check out fastburn motors....
