Question Question about mufflers

Ok I've got a set of full-length headers and all and I've been thinking about buying a set of Warlock mufflers. So I was woundering if they are any good and if not what should I go with?

Question

How loud do you want to go? Personally like the 40 series flowmasters. But they are loud!
Delta flow 40 series bark when you tromp on it but are quiet when you cruise. Not as tough as regular 40 series though but less interior resonance for sure.

Why do I keep hearing they don't make the regular 40 series anymore? I just got them 2 months ago for my car.... Flowmaster 40 series 2 chambers, "the original flowmaster sound"........All over in catalogs, etc.

Btw, maybe look into Hooker Aero chamber mufflers, they are supposed to sound decent and flow great.....never heard them before, I kinda wish I had gotten them, but don't know how much quieter my car would've been, my car actually ins't that loud for some reason, I have no cats either..
The warlocks are able to be uncapped, I THINK that means you can bypass the muffler 100%, but then you have no backpressure and I think it will hurt the car...

Well right now my car with stock exhaust is loud sitting still, on acceleration and decelleration. I wanna still have the sound in all three, just louder and better sounding.

Toss the flowmasters!! Check out www.racemufflers.com , they sound great, dont cost too much and no flowmaster or warlock comes even close to flowing as much as they do.

Yeha, forget about Flowmasters. Get some Spintechs. These things are awesome! Just had 3" x-pipe with Spins put on my 81 Z and it sounds soooo mean. My friend heard the car and is removing his Flows and getting Spins. I hear they flow alot better than the Flowmasters also.

Hey Talos, what do the cutouts sound like? Any pics of them installed? Maybe I'll see you at the next BCTFB cruise and take a look.

zedzag: They allow you to by-pass ur system (mufflers and such) and it all comes out of the headers...

Open Headers... VERY VERY loud... i have the ability to scare women, children and small animals...

Cool

Hey the cut outs are neat. How do they work? Are they the type with the wing style nuts on them that you uncork? If the exhaust exits near the chassis I imagine it would burn the paint? Must be damn nast sounding. Don't open them up in Richmond!!! Or you'll be busted sooner or later.
