Price of Labor, Engine Swap?
Having never done anything more indepth than a carb swap, I managed a ZZ4 + HOT cam swap almost entirely by myself in my garage. All I needed was to borrow an engine hoist (the could probably be rented) and to buy a couple of tools - harmonic ballancer puller, distributor wrench (for removing motor mounts), a valve spring compressor (I needed to install the HOT cam kit myself.. it's pretty easy, actually
) and a haynes manual. The only assistance I needed was in guiding the engine into place with the hoist.
Regardless of how you do the swap, get an appropriate torque converter built. It's a pain to have to install one later, when it would have been so easy when the engine was out.
You might wanna try it yourself
