pipes

ok what do you guys think X pipe or H pipe??? The theory is the same but there is a big difference in shape wich i assume changes the flow of the exhaust. Wich is better? I am running the X style on my wifes 78 camaro. Is this the better of the two?

Re: pipes

X-pipes are supposed to have more power, however I prefer the sound of an H-pipe.

Re: pipes

exactly...Hpipe is said to have a deeper throatier sound.

the Xpipe allows for scavenging between banks to build better power.

in reality i think the gain is too small to use as a deciding factor. ease of fitment and cost are better ways to pick. some setups are easier to fab up with an X or an H than others.

Re: pipes

So if i understand what you guys are saying H sounds better but X performes slightly better. But not enough to really make a difference.
