my chevelle engine plans

block:87 truck block(roller) bore .40 over
crank:scat nodular 9000
rods:Stock LT1 or scat/eagle i-beams
pistons:Speedpro powerforged (9-9.8:1 comp)
cam:218/224(.495/.503) 224/230(.503/.510) 222/230(.509/.522)
heads:Pro Topline 180cc (64cc,1.50/1.94) +3angle valve job/port work OR: stock vortech iron heads

intake:edelbrock performer or performer RPM
carb:Barry Grant road demon (625/725cfm) OR speed demon (650/750cfm)
exhaust:hedman 1 5/8 full length w/ dual cutouts and flowmaster catback

how does that setup sound?im aiming for at least 300HP to the wheels (350-400FWHP) this is going to just be a cruiser

which heads should i use? which cam looks best (dont want to have to get a big stall to get the car moving, needs to be STREETABLE)? will stock LT1 rods work? which of the carbs is the best? stick with 1.5 or go with 1.6 RR's?

OR: i was thinking about doing a 383. should i get the Pro Topline 200cfm heads with a 383? what is the most compression u should go with iron heads? is a 383 worth paying the balancing cost? i would use one of the cams above,5.7 rods, ect.

i will be running a TH350 with a stg.1 rebuild,2400 stall and 3.55/3.73 gear.

thanks for any suggestions
