msd 6al box

I'm in a jam and i was wondering if anyone on this board might be able to help me out.

i lost my receipt to my msd 6al PN6420 ignition box and i need to send it out for a repair thats gonna run me 60 bucks. i was wondering if someone that has a reciept for this same box might be able to scan it onto the computer and email it to me, or a fax would do the job. I'd appreciate it a lot.

Email is xitsmike@yahoo.com AND xitsmike@optonline.net send to both of them cus i think my optonline one is about to be cancelled by the company.

if you can fax me a copy fax to 1-631-728-0024

Thanks a lot in advance

Best bet is to send it back to MSD. How old is the box?

MSD will charge a minium of $15.00 and max of $60.00. I had the same problem when I had my 1975 Chevy Luv with a 330 horse V8 conversion stolen. When the theives hot wired it and drove it several miles away they left the ignition wires bare and allowed them to touch and ground out. IT fried the 6-AL and starter. I just sent the 6-AL box to MSD and they only charged me $15.00 to fix it.

My friend was just here today saying his MSD6AL crashed.
He sent it back to MSD and it came back better than new.
I think on another forum they said MSD was selling those boxes that all were burning up real soon after puchase.
Must have been second shift building them?LOL
