Michigan girl needs help with 81 Camaro Z28

Metro Detroit area girl looking for help with this 81 Camaro Z28.

Looking to restore it and get the engine going strong.

It starts and drives now but with a battery and some ether. The wiring does need to be completely re-done.

I am trying to find out who can help with the engine work, who can help with the body/restoration work.

Where to go? Who to see? Anybody interested in some side money to work on out here??

Any help is apprectited.

Thanks!

Looks like a good start. May want to try posting this on www.NastyZ28.com. There are a lot of members in the MI area that can help. Plus a lot of info on the 2nd gen she can use for restoration.

a lot of the work you could do your self you just need to read up on it
engine work is easy and there is more than enough info to help you through it
take your time do it right the first time don't go the cheap route you will only have to fix it again if you have questions just ask info is free and i check posts every day so feel free to ask questions
and good luck

Pretty nice car. Invest in some tools, an assembly manual, zip lock baggies, and a digital camera to take pictures of stuff before you take it apart so you know what it looks like together

Best of luck to you....I ought to show you pix of the 78Z I just got.....basically a shell and subframe.....the fun is putting them back together (this one for the wife).

Re: Michigan girl needs help with 81 Camaro Z28

what kind of budget are you working with? and what are you planning on having in the end? (daily driver, weekend toy, drag car, corner carver, other?)

the best bet if you dont ahve experience with this type of thing is to start reading up on everythign you want to do. then when it comes time to actualy do the work, you can do it yourself (maybe with the help of someone that has already done it) or if you plan on having it done then you will at least be able to effectively communicate what your needs are and understand what work will be done.
