Know nothing about rims, need help???

15X8 P.C.D 5X5.0 offset-18MM

I found these specs, and like the rim, so what I need to know is will they fit on my 79??? I am just kinda tired of the stock "Turbine 2" wheels. I want something a little more... "Bling bling" I believe is the correct term... I like the 5 star look - Weld Pro star, Torque THrust, etc... And I am on a budget, so this is hard. Help me if you can.

The bolt pattern you need is 5 x 4 3/4 or 5 x 120mm. The ones you found are 5 x5 and will not work.

What is the biggest (without risking rubbing) rim/tire combo we can fit on our 2nd gens? I am assuming all years are the same.....

What do most people go with without tubbing or removing anything?

I do not have 1st hand experience, but I have read about people using 10.5 inch wheels (you'll want to measure for correct backspacing) with a 315mm tires with a little massaging on the inner fender...

HTH!

A set of 4th gen. 17's will fit - direct bolt on. So you can run 275's. As said, with minor work and custom backspacing you can run 315's. A mini-tub will allow 345's, and that's where I am headed. 295 fronts / 345 rears.

Most people like to stick with 235 to 255 on 2nd generation Camaro's. I dunno why - it'll fit a whole lot more rubber.

But I understand you want Bling-Bling, but usually you have to step up to 18" plus to be considered a rolly-bling. hehe. 15's, and at that, torque thrust or Weld are drag rims and will make you appear as a Pro-Streeter (which ain't a bad thing) but that may be the wrong look for you???

You can run 15x10" rims in the rear with no problems at all. A trip down to the local tire store will get you setup. They should be very familliar with backspacing and wheel offset.
