Just got a 69 camaro, any suggestions on finding a TKO

I just got a 69 Camaro w/a 350 DZ crate motor with a 4spd. I want to swap to a TKO 5 speed any suggestions?

I recently had a TKO-500 installed in my 67 Camaro. I'd recommend going with Keisler's kit. Its a little more money but a whole lot less fabrication.

How did the installation go? Did you have to do any mods?

Not really. It has a new crate 350 and while I was at it I added a Baer brake kit and had the 3.08 open 10-bolt converted to 3.73 POSI. We also redid the whole suspension as well. The shifter fits the stock console in the stock location. I have a few photos from the day after it was completed. (See the link in my signature.) I ended up having it professionally done.

I ran a TKO in my 69 for a summer, then took it out and sold it. It was a nice tranny, shifted great, but the gear splits are pathetic. If you want a TKO, make sure you get the TKO-600 with the updates gear ratios. The 3.27 1st gear in the TKO (500) just plain sucks.

I did the install, it was as easy as it gets. Bolts right in, had to make a small mod to the tunnel for the shifter.

Might be a little more cash but look at www.t56kit.com Talk to tyler and look at the T56 kits he has. I have seen a COMPLETE kit from him that includes everything to do a swap including a trans, and everything from bolts for subframe all the way to modified hydraulics for the pedals. Or pick up a T56 on your own and buy the basic kit which is what i'm doing and I LOVE the way it looks so far.
