junkyard intake manifold and headers

i was going to go scour the junkyards for a better intake and headers.. the motor i'v got put together consists of

Block: 1974 350 t4OO police 4 bolt main
Heads: 1979-85 "350 CID" Intake=1.94 Exhaust=1.5 66cc
Intake: 1981 350 4bbl aluminum
Carb: 4160 600 CFM holley 4bbl

running stock pistons, stock crank, stock bore, stock stroke, stock cam, block hasn't been decked, the heads havn't been milled (to my knowledge).

what intake could i go with to improve my setup as well as headers i might find in a junkyard? i might go to www.summitracing.com to buy some headers instead, if their too much work to obtain.

Search ebay for an Edelbrock, Weiand or Holley high rise aluminum intake. You can get them used for cheap. I just bought a brand new Edlebrock 454 TBI intake for $45 on Ebay. This intake sells for $250 at Summit.

Engine is going to be relatively stock so you don't wanna go too radical with these parts. An edelbrock perfromer carb and 600cfm carb would do just fine.

Talking

A cheap set of headers are better then any stock manifolds you'll find in a junk yard. I really cheap set will cost you less then a hundred bucks.

Yea! good point!

Hey black99cobra, if you want a set of headers, I can sell you mine off my chevelle. They are currently on my chevelle now. I have a chevy 383 (350 block). They are 1 5/8 to a 3" collector. They are nothing special, typical surface rust and some dimpling for spark plug clearancing but they are solid and should work fine if they fit your car.
I am replacing them with 1 3/4 to 3"collectors for more air flow.
I'll be replacing them this week!
You can buy them from me for $25 plus shipping.
email me if you want them.

Hey , forget my offer to sell you my used headers!
I pulled them off and installed my new set.
My old ones were alot worse than I thought.
The collectors were badly deteriorated beyond repair.
They are in the trash.
