Smile Its finally running

Well I started my car for the first time since Spring of 2000. We had a little trouble getting to start because I had the rockers too tight. Then it was also 180* out on the timing. Once I fixed that it started right up! Timed it roughly and started the cam break-in.

So far I've driven it to the gas station and back and around the block a couple times. I think I need to have someone at a shop help me tune because I'm in over my head (I did set initial advance at 12*). I'm happy to say it will start on the first crank and not quit but I am sure its not running up at the level its supposed to be. It does rev really fast, much faster than I remember so thats a good sign. I really like how it sits now. Its low but not overkill and that front sway bar is pure joy . The car sits practically level. I'll take some pics in the morning and post them

Hey Andy, that's great! It's always exciting to get a car "BACK on the road."
Can't wait to see the new pics. Did you do some changes on the suspension, too?

Have Fun!

Well I had some problems getting the oil pressure up so I have to go back and find whats causing the problem. I wanted to take some pics of it in the street but I should wait until I figure out whats wrong before I move it again

I put a new pic on the front page but it doesn't show much. I put on Suspension Techniques springs (1-2" drop), KYB shocks, Addco 1.25" sway bar, all new steering linkages, poly bushings. It really does drive 30 times better than I remember.

I have pressure!!! 60psi at idle to be exact

It turned out to be the gally plugs above the cam on the front of the engine. I must have assumed, in the beginning, that it would fine since its all covered by the timing cover

Arg now to find a Harmonic Dampner installer. I have the puller but not the pusher lol
