TBI or TPI

are you running a TBI or TPI? I know that the TPI gives you more play room in terms of upgrades but still have there restrictions, in either case better inhale and exhale would always work and of course getting rid of the 305 heads in favor of a better breathing head and upping the cam will do wonders on the 305. From what I hear alot of my buddies have stuffed the 327 cams and the thing sounds great and made good gains on there 3rd gens. the intake manifolds can leave a little to be desired porting the intake manifolds and exhaust will help a bunch and if you can get a hold of the L98 heads those would be a decent upgrade on a budget. A shift kit and a torque converter for the tranny just my opinion

TBI or TPI

the TBI and TPI systems can manage 300hp but can be a bigger beast with a swap. goodwrench 350 290hp best bang for the buck.

Are you planning on racing it or driving it on the street?

The cheapest solution would be nitrous... but if you do a top end swap and cam you should be able to squeeze some decent numbers out of that small block.

I heard about a coworker's buddy that put a 305 chevy in his boat. He added 2 WRX stock turbos with megasquirt computer. Never seen it in person but he said it works and hauls ***. IMO if it did work he probably blew it up by now

I attest to this one because we did the same thiing with it and the motor is still running its been 3 years!! although it had to be rebuilt the first time but since then its great and we use the gt25 turbos on a turbo carb not the tpi

From the few pics I saw I think it would be tough to fit his setup in a car engine bay. Was your motor in a car?
