I think that would be the L48 and I again think its 245.

But I think you could get ther 350 cars with the RS package like the LT1 that would have been 375 hp. Im not sure how many engines were avaliable with the RS package.

The L48 was 270hp gross (210 net) which I think was the engine used in the rs.

My 71 originally had a 2bbl 245hp engine. I've also seen 71's with 4bbl 270hp engine.

In 1971 the 350 either put out 330hp (Z-28 only) and was the highest output 350 that year, 270hp was the other (provided it is a 4bbl). I don't believe it was avilable in the rs package. Assuming that it has a 4bbl carb, it has 270hp-the only 4bbl 350s avilable that year were the 270 and 330 versions and like I said it shouldn't have the 330hp Z-28 350.

Therefore, it should be the L48 350 with 270hp.

thr rs was an appearance package which included a long list of standard featueres. one of which was the urathane nose with bumperettes. the rs package or rpo z 22 could be ordered on any camaro model, from the bace 6 cylinder to the ss and z 28. if the car is neither an ss or z the 350 ci engine would be the 245 hp 2 bbl engine with auto or 4 speed wide ratio m 20 with an axle ratio of either 308:1 with 4 speed or 273:1 auto with the option code rpo L65. the 4 bbl engine (L48/270 hp) was only offered in the ss model
