Question How many hp?

Hello there!
I got a Camaro LT -75 with a 350 engine.
I'm just wondering how many HP there is in that machine. Its all like when it came from the factory, no headers or uppgrade at all.
I heard something like a measly 155 HP but i sure hope that aint right!

Hasta!

Yep thats right on! :-) I love those emission laws!

www.nastyz28.com for more info.

I would try redoing the exhaust I bet you could bring that up to 180, then 220 with carb and intake, 15 cam, etc.

Its all about the money your best bet to rebuild it with new exaust and intake.

Thanks for the quick reply Zomie!
I have been planning for a new exhaust since i bought the car.
The V8 sound is not really what i want it to be with the original system (not enough heads are turned as i drive by).
Since i live in Sweden the parts are not so easy to come by.
I would really appreciate a reliable web source with parts for Camaros.
And if you have a tip which exhaust system that would kick *** i'd really appreciate it.

Hasta!

My memory might be failing me, but I believe a swedish member of the board who drives an early 70's camaro uses Apple mufflers and prefers them to any brand available in north america.

Anyone know his name? I think he owns DVC racing or something like that? He has a black 71? Camaro and I'm pretty sure he's from Sweden.

In addition to Jesper (racing), we got around 15 other swedes with awesome machinery on the nastyz site previously mentioned.

Last I heard jespers been playing with some goofy 4 cylinder foreign car that has 900hp or something crazy like that.

re: your 75 LT, don't forget to change the rear gears from 2.41 (assumed) to something more stout or all that fancy engine work still won't get you excited.

Well glad to se another fellow Swede around, you can check for parts at www.nitroz.se
There you can find or post ads for parts.

I also have Apple mufflers on my '69 Z-28 and I promise it has a great sound.

About your lack of horsepower, I would look for a new engine, there is good ones around to buy.

You can also check with the Camaro Club Sweden

Good Luck

Jan

Jannes!
Was it much work to get those apple mufflers to fit?
