Post Header Primaries

Can anyone suggest what size primaries to get on my car. 1979 Trans Am with a 400,5-speed. I rated at 260 RWHP, and 332 RWTQ. I was going to go Hooker competition with 5/8. Should I go bigger primaries?

with those power numbers, 1 5/8" should be fine.
If that is power at the wheels, you might consider 1 3/4" tubes
If you plan on building the car up more, you should definately get 1 3/4" tubes, or even 1 7/8"...

RWHP is at the wheels. I had 1 3/4" on my 69 400, why keep it anemic just because it is now? If your not going to build it up much further though, it probably doesn't matter as much, you may even want to go larger.
