put a 200R4 in a 2nd gen pontiac? i know the bolt pattern works and it is the same length as the TH350 in it now, but im wondering what people have done with the crossmember, and also what about the shifter? anybody have any pictures that could help me along?

 

Shiftworks makes a shifter conversion kit if you drop a 200R into a 2nd gen Camaro or Firebird.

IF in fact both the tranny's are the same length than it wouldnt take much modification at all for the crossmember to work. I helped my dad put a 700R4 in his 71 SS396 chevelle that had a TH350,we used the same crossmember just had to move it back some.
