Funky Rocker?
I've got a set of rockers here that came in from Elgin Industries that look a little weird to me. Originally, we had ordered a set of 409 rocker arms... but what came in is definitely small block 1.5 ratio stuff, stock stamped ones. But there is one little quirk...
The oil hole in the little indent where the pushrod is supposed to seat... its not there. There is a hole, much larger (relative to the size of a standard one), about an eigth of an inch past the pushrod indent, down into the seat of the rocker.
The part number on the box is RK-406, but I haven't been able to find any info on them. Elgin's salespeople were less than helpful. They don't generally deal with end-users, I guess.
So... anybody used Elgin rockers before? Seen that oil hole placement? Will any oil actually get over the rocker that way?
