Question fuel in oil

I went out and tried to start my 91 rs camaro and it did not want to start, kept turning the engine over and over, finally it started for about 5 to 10 seconds.i then tried to start it again and noticed that the oil pressure was not really moving up during turn over. Next i checked the oil and was shocked to find it really high on the dip stick, i then felt and smelled it and realized it was gas in the oil. Drained the oil and it was like water coming out of the oil pan, now my question is did i damage anything internaly trying to start the engine as much as i did ?

something similar to that happened in my t/a not listed in my sig. it is also a 383 storker. i found out that i was stupid one time though and left the fuel pump on. broke a float in the carb and even after the pump was off the uel continued to leak down into the motor and eventually the oil. not quite as bad as yours sounds but i tried to turn mine over a few times. i pulled some things apart and there was no damage

Thats exactly what happened, the needle for the float was stuck and while i was working on the inside of the car i must have hit the fuel pump switch and did not know it and the fuel bowl overflowed in to all the cylinders and fuel then leaked past all the piston rings down in to the oil pan. I drained the oil after i realized it was full of fuel and changed the oil filter, I cut the old filter open and examined the element did not find any signs of steel, aluminum copper ect. Once i got new oil in it i finally did get it started and had 75psi of oil pressure when cold and 55psi at opperating temp at idle
