does 81 z28 have a posi rear or no?

 

That's a definite maybe. If it's a real Z-28, it came with a posi., but that was over 20 years ago!

 

well, its got the 350 and the right body so it is. but i just was makin sure so i don't have to spend the extra money.

The point is that it could have anything by now. Look for the tag on the diff. cover, check the part numbers, or take it out on the wet pavemnet and punch it. If it wants to go sideways it's got a posi. If it goes straight it has an open rear.

 

Laying some rubber is the most fun way to tell

 

jack up the front end and turn one of the wheels. have someone check out the otherside while ur doing it. If the wheels spim the same way its a posi. if they dont then ur sol
