do i need a torque converter or just not producing enough vacuum
Ok, so i got my 67 finally running after putting in my 222/222 roller cam and now when crusing at idle the tranny wont shift till like 3000. Is this because of the low vacuum produced by my new cam, because my power disc brakes arent working either, or are these unrelated problems? It is up in the air whether or not i "NEED" a torque converter for the cam according to the manufacturer, could that be my shifting issues? Oh i have a T-350

My bet is the vacuum.
You may need to get a different master cylinder to handle the car now. Here is a great article on the subject:

As for the tranny, I'd just get a shift kit that doesn't rely so heavily on vacuum. Shift yourself now.

Thanks for the blower comment...anyway, i have a stage two b&m shift kit in it already, and its kinda hard to manually shift when it shifts After i want it to. Putting it into second when the tranny wants it to stay in first doesnt do anything. I bought a resevoir from summit, should hopefully come tomorrow.
