Distributor wont seat

Iam at the home stretch of finishing my build and iam trying to drop the distributor in and its just not sitting flush with the intake manifold I figured it wasn't lining up with the oil pump shaft so I turned it with a screw driver and it got to sit alittle lower but still not flush. Any suggestions? Distributor- Msd 547-85551Oil Pump- selling high volume,m55hv

Re: Distributor wont seat

Unfortunately, in spite of having over 100,000 members, traffic on this site is approaching “0”. There’s a 1/2-dozen or so of us left, virtually all 4th Gen LT1 owners. Hence, stuck with the unconventional Optispark front mounted distributor. Maybe someone will also have classic SBC knowledge. Does require patience.
