im gonna come over here and ask the pros a question. since a block is a block. my 305 block seems to have a stripped oil pressure sensor hole . the oil pressure sensor hole above the filter. what do i do any ideas im going to have to get it towed to a machine shop it seems. does this nessacarily mean i need a new block.

 

You need a new block simply cause its a 305 block

I think it can be re-threaded but Im not positive

 

I'd try the teflon tape or JB weld mod first. Unless you are going to pull the block. With either of these to fixes, the worst case senario is pulling the block. BTW Summit has a nice selection of crate engines in their catalog. Where else (other than crate engines) can you drop an engine in your car and run it up to 6000 RPM and not really having to worry about it . . .
