Angry Control Arm Bushings

Help?!?!?!?!?!? I am Trying to Turn My 77Z28 in to a G-Machine and everyone knows that the first step is to change out the stock rubber bushings with polyurethane bushings this sounded like a simple task until after I disasembled the entire front end. I desided to go ahead and change out all of the ball joints and tierod ends as well. My problem is that every thing came out easily but the bushings they refuse to budge does anyone know a way to remove these with out paying a shop $80? I've tried drilling them out hammering them out and even torching them out but nothing seems to work.

hmmm...some wd40, a hammer, and a scraper or flat head?
I actually wanted to ask you how much did you end up spending on all your parts?

Total about $300 so far I have fully adjustible end links on the way and plan to order the Global West tierod connecting sleeves and the upper control arm shaft. all the ball joints and tierod ends are Moog and I ordered them from O'reilly's. After that I'm planning on switching out the sway bars and later on down the line I found a disk brake kit from Areospace engeniering I want to order but that will have to come after I get the wheels and tires since I need at least 17" wheels to fit over the 13" rotors.

I made up some spacers out of exhaust pipe, and some big sockets, and used my bench vise to press them in and out. Be careful to not bend the control arm.
Or, you can take them to a machine shop, and spend some more cash!

I couldn't get mine out either, so i ended up having to take them to a shop. Mine were Global West, and would have needed to be pressed in anyways, but i figured i could get them out.

I am sure you have this job done by now but for anyone else interested......Use a propane torch!! Don't burn the bushings out tho. Just heat up the outside of the bushing shell for a min or two and you should be able to drive the old bushing out nice and clean.
