Changing a Clutch ???help!!
Very VERY easy clutch job. It doesnt get any easier than that. Take the shifter handle off (just pull straight up if stock). Drain the fluid (time for a change anyhow right?), remove driveshaft. If you want you can unbolt the shifter but on car with rubber engine mounts it is not required. Unhook the spring that hold the clutch fork to the linkage. Undo the 4 large bolts (3/4" head I think) Undo and remove the rear crossmember (4 9/16" head bolts and a 5/8" or 15mm bolt in the middle). The pull the tranny straight back. Then remove bellhousing, clutch, and flywheel if you are going to machine it. May be time to replace the pilot bushing too so have a look. To re-assemble using a clutch alignment tool centre the clutch and tighten it down. Torque ALL bolts on moving parts. I also use a dab of blue locktite. Then the rest is easy. Just re-assemble in reverse order of dissasemble.
If its your first time plan on a full day. I can re&re that tranny in 45min
. Lots of practice though.
Good Luck
