Body Work..........?

Okay I have a 69 camaro in the body shop, and am in a delimma about the badges that I want on there. It is originally a 307 powered car, but converted to a 350, so I bought 350 badges, but I am planning on putting somethin else in there. So the body shop recemended filling in the hole. That would look pretty cool, so now I am thinkin about having all the emblems off, and the holes filled. The CAMARO on the header panel and on the trunk along with the CAMARO on each fender and the engine emblems. What do you all think, I am starting to go for taking the engine ones off, and taking the CAMARO on the header panel and the trunk off. But leaving the CAMARO on each fender on, any comments. Thanks

I like the sounds of what you have going on... My car is complete debadged on the outside, and everyone around here pretty much likes the way it looks a lot. I may rebadge it with a few Z-28 designations, but not covering the whole car or anything. NEwayZ, sounds good dood.

I've seen both ways done. I've always wanted to put 250 cid badges on a big block car and see if anyone notices.

already done

Well the 69 is in primer, and the camaro badges on the header panel and the trunk have been filled, as well as the engine displacement badges.

I like the badgeless look. I think it looks cleaner. Also, if anyone doesn't know it's a Camaro, they're not worth breathing our air anyway.

Yeah I hear ya on the hard to wax around badges. When down and looked at it today, the entire car has been primered, and the new cowl hood was on, and the new rear spoiler was on there as well. He has filled all the holes except on each fender where it says camaro. I think it will make it look a lot cleaner.

Jon-

I'm debating the same thing before I paint my 79. At this point, I'm just going to leave the car badge-less. Simply because its a PITA to wax around w/o leaving any wax.

Almost everyone will be able to tell what kind of car you have. Die hard enthuasists will be able to tell what model, but everyone else will see a badass F-Body.

Running it with no badging is fun too when beating up Mustangs!

stripes

Okay, as soon as I get the car painted I will put some pictures on here, I have taken over 40 pictures so far, of all the steps. I am going back to the shop at four o'clock he said it would have paint on it. He was having trouble with the stripes though, he didnt know how they looked like around the cowl hood, or even what size they are. If somebody doesnt know it is a camaro w/o the badges, they need to be shot.
