Aftermarket driveshaft?
Aftermarket driveshaft?
What is stronger than the factory driveshaft? What makes one stronger, the material or the diameter or what? I was racing yesterday and broke a universal(1.5 60' times) and it nicked up the driveshaft and the U-bolts look shabby now too. I'd like to replace the whole deal with something stronger if posible. I put in a heavier duty universal. Does anyone sell stronger driveshafts at a reasonable price? Thanks.

I Have a Metal Matrix aluminum one from them. It's a completely custom shaft. It cost me $510.95 but thats with 1350 joints and spicer yokes. They have ALOT cheaper versions availible. I'd take a look. Really good company to work with. Mike

I have been talking w/ them and they say all they have for my 10 bolt is the regular HD driveshaft, no aluminum and not the nitrous version either. $270.

You can contact Dynotech in Troy, MI. They will fabricate any type of d/s you desire. They also fabricate driveshafts for some of the NASCAR racers. I have also used them thru my job and also on a personal level for my 2 street cars. They do quality work.

That really does'nt make any sense to me. I've been talking with denny since the start of this project. I was under the inpression talking with him, that they could do what ever you need. It even says on the site. "IF you have a tranny and a rear end, we can connect it." If you are really wanting a Hd aluminum, I would just call and tell him you need it made. Just my opinion.
Re: Aftermarket driveshaft?
The nitrous ready shaft only comes with 1350 serise U joints so it will not work on a 10 bolt. But they have a regualr HD steel (still very strong) that will work as well as alum that would also work. I just recently orderd a shaft from them. Give denny a call.
