76 Chevy van 350 motor

Would this motor be a 4-bolt?
Its a 4-barrel.I can't see the vin with the alternater there but its not my van to take off yet.
If I buy it its just for the motor.
The rest is parted or junkyard.

To tell if it is a four bolt main may not be done from the casting number. I have a 76 350 out of a 3/4 ton and the casting number indicates it can be a 4 or 2 bolt main so until I pulled the oil pan I didn't know. Mine is a 2 bolt.

The engine ID casting number is behind the cylinder head (1,3,5,7 cylinders) at the back facing up from the flange where the tranny bolts to. You wil probably have to pull the engine cover inside the cab. The number is pretty big so it should be easy to find, you may have to scrape crud ot of the way.

My block # is 3970010 which is the same block for the Z28 302, and a 350.

Here is some good sites for engine identification.
