76 3 speed… bucks when accelerating

I am the original owner of a 76 3sp 6 cyl.
The car had been sitting the garage for a couple of years. Trying to drive it again, new gas, new oil, filter, new plugs and wires… the car idles perfectly…. No vibration what so ever. Start to drive after shifting into 2nd the car bucks and loses power. To get it to stop bucking, I have to engage clutch…
Need help, what’s wrong??

Let's move this to the “Classic Engine Tech” forum. “LS1 Based Engine Tech” is for the V8 engines used in 1998 through current Camaro production.

I will also caution you that there are very few active members left here, and most of them are more familiar with the LT1 engine used 1993-1997.
