69 Bumper Brackets

Hello Everyone,

I was trying to switch out the bumpers on my 69, but when I removed the rear bumper I noticed that the center bracket (with license plate light) was welded to the bumper. Is this normal? I was thinking I could use the existing brackets, and therefore not need to buy new ones. I'm guessing I can get by with just a new rear center. Has anyone seen this, or have it happen to them?

Thanks ...

~JT

The license plate bracket is pressed onto the backside of the bumper. The body shop that my camaro was at was able to seperate the bracket from the bumper, becouse I could not get them seperated.
