I'm about to put in a ZZ502 so I have "researched" many of the problems associated with the installation.

One of the biggest problems you are going to have is the headers. You might have to grind down the flange to make it fit and you'll need to hammer the #5 cylinder pipe in a little to clear the power steering box if you've got one. Also if you are running an HEI distributer on it you will have to "modify" the firewall if you are running stock motor mounts. You'll have problems clearing the wiper motors so you could loosen them and turn it 180 degrees and it should clear. Also you'll need subframe connectors on a uni-body car if you're getting the ZZ502 or the HO 502 with 440hp or you could twist the frame. I'm sure you know you'll need an electric fuel pump. The clutch pivot boss isn't machined into the engine from the factory. You'll need to buy one from Scoggin Dickeys or fabricate one yourself if you plan on running a manual gear box.

you will also have to change the heater core if its not a big block car .. (clearance problem for big block) national parts depot has the core and trim plate .. moves the hose outlets to the left ..
