Today I'm going to pull the 250 and Powerglide out of my '70 Camaro to put a 350 and TH400 in it. The question I have is do I need to change the frame mounts to put the V8 in? Classic Muscle has a part number for 6 and 8 frame mounts that is the same number (discontinued) but nobody else does. I can find frame mount for big block but not small block. Were the 6 and the 8 the same mounts? I would think also that the big block mounts would work fine. Help!!

A friend put a 350 in place of a 6 in a 70 Nova using the 6's mounts and it sat higher on driver side than the passenger side. But 70 Novas are related to 1st gen Camaros, so don't know if same would happen in 2nd gen.

Big block mounts will work. They made BBs sit lower for clearance, but were also used on LT-1 Z28s.
