I currently have the 8.2 open rearend and eventally I plan on swithing to a 12 bolt posi. My quiestions is will the 2 rearends be the same length. I want to get rims and tires now, but want them to still fit when I change rears.

 

Well, IF you can find a 12 bolt out of an early camaro, it would be the same width. Good luck, they are few and far between.. and about the same price as their weight in gold!

 

A 12 bolt from a 70 Nova SS will also be the same width and have the same spring pad distance, but multi-leaf pads.
