I have 295-50 15's on 10" rims on the back of my 71. With rolled fender lips, it scrapes a little on big bumps. If I had used 5.5" back space instead of 5", I think it would have been centered just right in the wheelwell and it wouldn't scrape.

They fit fine...........they just don't hook
.EDIT: sorry, I just realized we have 60 series tires, not 50, so they're 275/60/15.

probably because 255s are simply to big PERIOD on the front with out alittle modding, and it wasn't setup right on the back if u were having problems.

do u think something like this would fit, 17 x 8
i want to have bigger tires in back hen in front, i saw some 17 x 10, but i doubt that would fit, what is the price range for rolling a quarter, compared to mini tubing

My "not recommended" comment pertained to the massive sidewall flex. - Handling just plain sucked.
Besides, I assume that the original poster has the stock Z28 tims which are 15X7 - this rim is too narrow.
Now, if ryan80z were to buy wider rims with the proper BS - then 315's are possible even.
Just my 2 cents.
