Talking 1973 Camaro ---> ALMOST ROAD WORTHY!!!

The last two weekends, my dad and I have been working a lot on his '73. At this point, the dash and instrument cluster need to be installed, as well as the carpet and front seats, but otherwise the car is almost ready to hit the streets!! We're having the rims sandblasted and repainted, and we just have to buy 4 new tires as well.

Check out the site for a couple updated pics, and let me know what ya think. We're still planning on having white stripes (similar to my car) painted on sometime this year too.

I can hardly wait for summer to arrive and to have this beast on the road!! We've had it almost 3 years now!!! Oh baby is it going to be sweet though!

The 70-73's are my favorite years for the second gen's!
I will one day own one myself.

Wink

Read all about it in my sig ---> actually, click the link for 1973 Camaro.

Basically, it's got a slighty "wild" / "mild" 350. Right now it runs like a bag of $h!t, but the carb needs to be rebuilt and setup properly, and as well, it was pretty cold when we had it running last weekend, and without a choke on it, the motor had to be hot before it would stay running on its own.

I'm sure it'll be 100% by the summer though!!

waiting to finish a car sucks! check my sig for pics of my 442, it took about 8-9 years to finish restoring it to where it sits now.

OMG, that's sexy!!! Can I make love to your car please?!

Seriously dude, that's a sweet car! I love the looks of the Old's 4-4-2's...................they're basically a "performance" model of the Cutlass, right? I guy around my area has a car almost identical to that, except red with a white top, but I believe it's just a Cutlass, not a 4-4-2? Those remind me a lot of the GTO's of the same vintage. They're also a sweet looking car.

BTW: what happened to your old Z28?! (Gone But Not Forgotten)??? Did you forget to look first before backing up?!

Sure, just don't leave any stains

Yeah, that's pretty much what it was, except there wasn't much performance stock in 72 as with the oil problems they lowered the compression on them, but I fixed that when I had the engine rebuilt.

LOL, not quite, I was stopped waiting to turn into my development when some *** in a new BMW decided to take his eyes of the road, and rear ended me at about 50-60mph.
